Chemical Immunology Conference 2023

Date:
Friday, June 9, 2023 - 09:00 to 18:00
Location:
Naturalis Leiden

Following the successful conference last year, ICI will host the 2023 Chemical Immunology Conference again at Naturalis Leiden, on Friday June 9th 2023.

Theme and speakers

The line-up of speakers for the 2023 ICI conference will again cover the true diversity of chemical immunology. In addition, this year’s conference program will be in memoriam of Professor Dr. Huib Ovaa, our dear friend and colleague, who was involved in our ICI program from the very start, but sadly passed away in May 2020. For now we can announced we have confirmed two keynote speakers: Firstly, Hidde Ploegh from Boston Children’s Hospital who is well-known from his work on antigen processing, the use of ‘sortagging’ to study the evasion of the immune system by viruses and his more recent work on nanobodies. Secondly, professor of biochemistry and mass spectrometry Benedikt Kessler from the University of Oxford, whose work is focusing on the role of the ubiquitin-proteasome system in the immune system.
