Regulatory CD4 T cells (Treg) inhibit the response of conventional CD4 and CD8 T cells (Tconv) to self- and foreign antigens. The balance between Tconv and Treg dictates disease status in cancer and autoimmunity. Selective manipulation of these opposing cell types will allow us to steer the T-cell response in the curative direction.
