Research activities:
Glycosylation of viruses is known to either shield neutralization epitopes on the virion surface from antibodies or be an integral part of these epitopes. The goal of my project is to unravel this dual role of glycosylation in dengue and Zika virus-antibody interactions and its application in current vaccine design against dengue viruses. For this project I will use an integrative approach combining mass spectrometry and structural biology.
